March 13, 2017

Team Sekura is sure to provide the best market for buying and selling equipment in western Canada.

Challenge: Need For Self-Operated Online Auction Solution with Real Time Audio

Over the past few years, the auction industry has become extremely competitive, especially with the evolution of the Internet.  A problem for Team Sekura Auctions was that they utilized an online bidding platform where they were unable to operate themselves onsite.  Without being able to operate the software independently of the provider, Team Sekura was left with a delay in the online bidding as well as the live streaming audio feed.  This delay caused lost Internet bids and thousands lost in potential revenue.

The Solution: Modern, User-Friendly, and Privately Branded Online Auctions

In January, 2017, Team Sekura Auction started working with NextLot so that buyers can bid directly on their own website.  In addition, NextLot’s software ease of use allowed Team Sekura to run the software themselves, lowering online bid relay time and increasing the clarity and speed of the audio feed by running it directly onsite.

Result: Increased Participation at Online Auctions

During their first auction of 2017, Team Sekura Auctions saw amazing results in its online participation.  Here are some highlights:

  • One third of the total auction sell through was directly to online buyers.

  • Over 100 users participated online in the auction though their website.

  • When compared to Bidspotter, a portal based system that also hosted the auction off site, NextLot’s software saw over $225,000 in online sales compared to $0 with the portal provider.

Tiffany LaRose had this to say about her experience thus far working with NextLot:

“Thanks again guys we have never had such success with our online sales before.  We know that we can continue to build on the progress using NextLot’s privately branded auctions and straightforward clerking system.”
